Xiaomi's upcoming Mi 10 series phones are among the most hyped ones in the market. Even though Xiaomi is yet to formally announce a launch date for the phones, we already have a fair idea of what to expect from the first wave of 2020 flagship phones from Xiaomi. Several leaks have already revealed the specifications while some have shown the phone in all its entirety. Every day, there's a new Mi 10-based leak and today, there's one more. This time, it's related to its charging speeds.
According to a new tip from Weibo, the Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro will come with two different fast charging systems. The headline-grabbing 65W wired fast charging system seems to be only reserved for the top-end Mi 10 Pro, if the leak is to be believed. For the regular Mi 10, Xiaomi is speculated to use a slightly slower 48W wired fast charging system. There's no mention of a fast wireless charging system on any of these two phones yet.
By all standards, the base Mi 10 with its 48W fast charging system seems to be among the fastest ones in the business. Xiaomi is expected to stuff a 4500mAh battery in the Mi 10 and with the 48W system, one can expect the phone to top up from nothing in under 40 minutes. The 65W system on the Mi 10 Pro is expected to bring down the charging time, especially with a smaller 4000mAh battery.
That said, Xiaomi's acclaimed 100W fast charging system that's yet to come out remains unbeatable on paper with its claimed top-up to 100 per cent in under 17 minutes. Xiaomi is also developing a faster wireless charging system that could succeed the 30W system. However, these technologies are yet to make a debut. However, charging speeds isn't the only area where the Mi 10 phones are going to excel. As previous leaks have confirmed, Xiaomi will be using a 108-megapixel camera at the back of the both the Mi 10 phones and rumours suggest the sensor will be similar to the one from the Samsung Galaxy S20. Other than that, you can also expect Qualcomm's Snapdragon 865 chipset to be a part of the specifications sheet. A Quad HD+ AMOLED display on the Mi 10 Pro and a Full HD+ AMOLED display will be part of the Mi 10 Pro and Mi 10 respectively.
